The Second Collection this weekend is the annual collection for the retired priests of Cloyne. The retirement age of priests is 75; most have given over 50 years of service. The diocese continues to support them through a dedicated fund which is made up of this annual collection; contributions from working priests and 7.5% of the weekly offerings collection.
